LSA Manufactures Authorization
Like many PMA parts manufacturers, we have sought FAA, LAMA, and ASTM's guidance on requirements for replacement parts on S-LSA certified aircraft.
FAR 91.327(b)5 states, "Each alteration accomplished after the aircraft's date of manufacture meets the applicable and current consensus standard and has been authorized by either the manufacturer or a person acceptable to the FAA." Therefore, we are soliciting authorization from all currently certified LSA manufacturers using Rotax 912 and 914 engines.
